Trump says India agreed to cease shopping for Russian oil | DW News
US president Donald Trump says he’s cutting tariffs on Indian goods as part of a trade deal. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the agreement at a general meeting of his alliance in New Delhi. Trump says Modi has promised to spend 500 billion dollars on US products, including aircraft and petroleum. In return, the US will lower levies on Indian goods from 50 to 18 percent. Trump claims India has agreed to stop buying Russian oil in exchange. The Kremlin denies that.
