Housing disaster within the EU: debate on the Affordable Housing Plan

Members of the European Parliament’s special committee on the housing crisis in the European Union discuss the Affordable Housing Plan with Commissioner Dan Jørgensen.

The debate addresses key measures, implementation strategies and its contribution to tackling the housing crisis across the EU, ahead of the Committee’s forthcoming report.

Following the exchange with Commissioner Jørgensen, MEPs will examine a new study by Parliament’s policy department for transport, employment and social affairs: ‘Mapping the current housing needs in the EU, assessing the impact of scarcity and providing an overview of relevant EU legislation’ ahead of the next meeting on 27 January 2026.
