Kamala Harris Gives Saucy Dating Advice, And It Might Make You Blush
Now that’s the way to win a swing state.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris advised young singles campaigning for love to enjoy that “Friday night relationship” if they’re not ready for the “Sunday morning relationship.” (Watch the video below.)
On the “Rich Little Brokegirls” podcast posted Tuesday, the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee at first offered basic tips like, be kind to yourself and choose someone kind, “who allows you to laugh at yourself and them.”
Then she ventured into more intimate territory.
“There are different phases in your life,” she told host Kimberly Bizu. “And depending on what phase you’re in, maybe you’re going to choose that you want to have that kind of Friday night relationship or you want that Sunday morning relationship.” Harris laughed at her get-real guidance.
“Sometimes they go together and sometimes …” Bizu chimed in.
“And sometimes you can get both, and sometimes it’s oil and water,” Harris continued. “And that’s OK. Be in those phases where you are having fun. Be in those phases where you have a sense of, you know, I just want something more.
“But be honest with yourself about what you’re in, and figure out whether what you’re in is actually what you want. Right? But the first step is to be honest about what you’re in. And not try and make it something that it’s not because that usually doesn’t work out so well.”
Harris met her husband, Doug Emhoff, on a blind date, and the pair wed in 2014.
