Fires in Los Angeles space stay uncontrolled as loss of life toll slowly rises | DW News

Thousands of firefighters are battling blazes across the Los Angeles area – and the flames still aren’t under control. The death toll now stands at seven. US president Joe Biden is calling the fires the most ‘widespread’ and ‘devastating’ in California’s history. Officials estimate more than ten-thousand buildings have been destroyed in the two biggest of the blazes – many of them homes and businesses.
