Inside NATO’s largest-ever artillery train in Europe | DW News

Among rising tensions between the West and Russia, the NATO alliance is holding its largest artillery exercise in Europe. 5,000 troops participate in the drills that span NATO’s eastern flank, including sites in Estonia, Germany, Poland and Romania. DW reports from a training area in Finland’s far north, close to the border with Russia. Part of the exercise takes place in Finland’s Far North. Finland, which shares an 1300- kilometers border with Russia, joined the alliance in 2023. Alexandra von Nahmen reports from the Rovajarvi training area near Rovaniemi.
