🔴 LIVE | NASA launches Progress 90 Cargo mission delivering important provides to the ISS
The Progress 90 cargo spacecraft is on its way to the International Space Station, carrying nearly three tons of essential supplies that will help the crew of Expedition 72 live and work in space. Launched from Kazakhstan’s Baikonur Cosmodrome on a Soyuz rocket, this uncrewed spacecraft is packed with food, fuel, and scientific equipment that ensures the station’s operations continue smoothly.
This mission is more than just a supply run—it’s a lifeline for the astronauts. Progress 90 will dock with the station’s Poisk module and remain there for several months, supporting critical research and daily life aboard the ISS. Once done, the spacecraft will safely dispose of trash as it burns up on re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere.
For over 24 years, the International Space Station has been humanity’s outpost in space, where countries from around the globe work together to push the boundaries of science and technology. Missions like Progress 90 don’t just keep the station running—they’re part of a larger story about exploring space, building a sustainable future in low Earth orbit, and preparing for the next giant leaps: returning to the Moon through NASA’s Artemis program and eventually sending humans to Mars.
