Wall Street believes its soft-landing dream is on the verge of coming true. That is prompting a recent wave of demand for shares.

Many analysts and portfolio managers stated they count on the good points to choose up heading into year-end, reflecting a way that markets have confronted down their most important problem: the potential for rising bond yields to crimp financial exercise, cut back demand for shares and ship the U.S. economic system into recession.
