Video footage shared by the Norwegian Polar Institute depicts a Boeing 787 plane touching down on Antarctica’s icecap, marking, based on the institute, the primary time a big plane has landed within the area. On board the airplane have been 45 passengers and 12 tons of analysis gear. The plane made its touchdown in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica, the place the three,000-meter-long "Troll" airstrip, etched immediately into the ice, is located.
