The Google Pixel 9 lineup was announced this August, and it’s already on sale. The 128GB Google Pixel 9 is available for $641.98 (originally $799) on Amazon, the lowest price it has reached since its recent release, according to price-tracking tools.
As assistant tech editor, Michelle Ehrhardt, explained in her review, the Google Pixel 9 is Google’s best phone for most people. This time around, Google packed the base model with a redesigned camera bar and some updated camera specs, making it a great alternative for those who don’t want to shell out nearly a grand for the Pixel 9 Pro. The Pixel 9 uses the new Google Tensor G4 chip as its processor and has a 6.3-inch OLED screen with 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The RAM is 12GB and it has two cameras in the rear, a 50MP wide and a 48MP ultrawide.
One of my favorite parts about Pixel phones is how long Google supports them. You’ll get support for tons of AI features that make the phone still feel fresh a year later. One of the latest is Pixel Studio, which is a very easy way to make AI art right on your Pixel.
Google has also been working hard to patch the vulnerabilities on their Pixel phones from as far back as the Pixel 6, meaning the Pixel 9 will be supported with software updates for a while (as long as seven years).
