The failure of Rep. Lauren Boebert’s marriage is attributed to her estranged husband taking responsibility for it.

The husband of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), who is no longer in a close relationship with her, is expressing his support for the congresswoman and taking responsibility for issues in their marriage.

In May, Lauren and Jayson Boebert made public their decision to end their marriage of almost 18 years. The couple stated that “irreconcilable differences” were the cause for their separation.

However, Jayson shared some information about the breakup in a Facebook message that was posted on Monday and acknowledged his role in the damaged relationship.

Jayson’s message started with a salutation of “the people of Colorado’s 3rd District and across the nation” before referring to “the deep concerns circulating” and “the attacks against Lauren,” a possible reference to the congresswoman being kicked out of a recent stage performance of “Beetlejuice” in Denver, in part for vaping and for groping her date.

Initially, the congresswoman refuted the accusations but later expressed remorse. She attributed her actions in part to the stress caused by her ongoing divorce proceedings.

Jayson Boebert said he felt people should know the truth “of our broken marriage and burden she has carried for too long” and said he was “de“I cannot reword”

“I accept complete accountability for my behavior, and I sincerely apologize for the decisions I made that resulted in the deterioration of our marriage,” he expressed. “I betrayed Lauren in numerous ways, and I should have consistently given my utmost effort, just as she did. My actions were self-centered and impulsive, and I neglected to contemplate the long-term effects they would have on the person who means the most to me.”

“I take full responsibility for this heartbreaking divorce,” he stated. “It saddens me that people think she left me because of fame or a different way of life. That couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, many false things have been said about our family. We have been fighting against this for a long time. I must acknowledge that a significant part of the problem lies with me, as I am the source of it all.”

“The hurt I caused Lauren was not only significant but also something she carried within her, burying it deep inside, while continuing to love people and our country fearlessly with a smile each day.”

Jayson expressed that he has started a process of introspection and personal development following the separation. He is determined to improve himself and be able to fully acknowledge and reciprocate the love and kindness that has been shown to him.

He then addressed his estranged wife and said, “IIf you are currently reading this, I want you to understand that I am fully committed to doing everything within my abilities to restore the trust that has been broken. I support you wholeheartedly. You are the most diligent individual I am acquainted with, always putting others before yourself and radiating love. I despise the unjust criticisms that are being directed towards you. I must admit that I bear some responsibility for this situation, and it is unfair for you to have to endure it.

Jayson Boebert requested that individuals who read his post exhibit kindness and compassion towards Lauren during this challenging period. He expressed that she should be given an opportunity to earn forgiveness and rebuild trust.

He stated: “I have subjected her to numerous challenges, but she will emerge even stronger as she always does, and so will I.”

Lauren Boebert expressed her gratitude for her husband’s post.

They initially crossed paths when she was 16 years old and he was 22 at a Burger King establishment where she was employed. Following the birth of their first child, Tyler, a few months earlier, they tied the knot in June 2005.

A court session regarding their request for divorce is set for October.
