October Prime Day is finally here, and there are enough deals to make it challenging to sort through. I’ve rounded up the best sales on headphones and earbuds, below. I also used price-checking tools to only include deals that are good compared to their price history, to avoid those nefarious hidden price hikes.

Best Prime Day deals on over-ear headphones

The Apple AirPods Max are arguably the best headphones any Apple user can get and one of my favorite deals. They rarely go on sale, although recently they dropped to $398—now, the price has dropped to a new record low of $394.99 (originally $549).

The Beats Studio Pro are the best headphones Beats offers, but they’re not as good as the AirPods Max. However, at $169.99 (originally $349.99), they’re almost half the price and make for a great alternative for those not looking to spend an arm and a leg for headphones. They also have about twice as much battery life as the AirPods Max.

The Beats Solo 4 came out this year and are quite solid. Like all Beats headphones, Apple users will get more out of them with a better codec and sound quality. At $99.99 (originally $199.95) they are seeing a new record-low price, which is pretty impressive since they were just recently released.

The Sennheiser Momentum 4 holds its own up against the best headphones in the market for sound quality and ANC technology. For $219.95 (originally $379.95), they’re hitting a new record-low price. The companion app isn’t great, though, according to PCMag’s review.

As the name implies, the Bose QuietComfort headphones are made with comfort in mind, but they also have some of the best ANC in the market, according to PCMag’s review. At $199 (originally $349), they’re at their lowest price yet, beating the then-lowest price from May when I last covered them.

If you’re looking for ANC headphones on a budget, the Soundcore by Anker Space Q45 is $89.99 (originally $149.99), the lowest price they’ve hit on Amazon to date. They’re one of the best pairs of ANC budget headphones you can get, according to PCMag’s review. They also have an impressive 50-hour battery life and have great in-app features.

These headphones are fun. I don’t particularly see myself as a “bass lover,” but these headphones make me feel like I’m inside a bass-boosted car (in the best way possible). They also have great and convenient controls you can use to control the bass right on the headset itself, rather than within an app. For $134.88 (originally $229.99), the Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 headphones are at their lowest price yet.

Best for sound quality and comfort: The Sony WH-1000X series has been around for years, consistently making some of the best-sounding headphones. The Sony WH-1000XM4 for $228 (originally $348) are the fourth generation released in 2020, eclipsed already by the WH-1000XM5, but are still some of the most comfortable headphones with the best sound quality you can get according to PCMag’s review. They’ve dropped to $198 before, so if you want to see if they drop to that price tomorrow, add it to your cart now and check back then.

Best Prime Day deals on earbuds

The Beats Studio Buds for $79.99 (originally $149.95) are great in-ear earbuds for people looking for strong bass without sacrificing a balanced sound and ANC, according to PCMag’s review. These came out in 2021 and are already eclipsed by the Beats Studio Buds+, but the lowered price helps.

The JBL Tune 130NC offers a great value with ANC features for just $44.95 (originally $99.95). They also have good bass and great EQ features in the app, according to PCMag’s review.

Best for sound accuracy and ANC: The Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless came out in 2021 with an “excellent” review from PCMag for its accurate audio performance and solid noise cancelation. Right now, they’re $83 (originally $179.95), the second-lowest price they have sold for.

Android users are best suited to take advantage of the Jabra Elite 4‘s codec support for audio quality. For $56.99 (originally $99.99), the Jabra Elite 4 are at their lowest price yet. They have powerful audio, ANC, and adjustable EQ, according to PCMag’s review.

The Anker Soundcore AeroFit Pro for $99.99 (originally $169.99) are great for people who want to wear earphones without entirely blocking out the rest of the world. They also come with an optional neckband for a more secure fit for intense outdoor activities. They offer great battery life with 14 hours of playtime and 32 more from the case, and offer customizable EQ, but they do suffer in bass because of the open-ear design. You can read about them in more detail on PCMag’s review.
