Sam Altman to affix Microsoft after OpenAI ousting – newest updates

Sam Altman, the ousted boss and founding father of OpenAI, will be part of Microsoft within the newest dramatic twist in an explosive three days on Silicon Valley.

Microsoft chief government Satya Nadella introduced hours after it emerged that Chat-GPT maker OpenAI had employed Twitch founder Emmett Shear to be its interim chief government.

In a publish on social media platform X, Mr Nadella mentioned: “We’re extremely excited to share the news that Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, together with colleagues, will be joining Microsoft to lead a new advanced AI research team.”

Microsoft, which reportedly owns 49pc of the Chat-GPT, added that Microsoft remained “committed to our partnership with OpenAI”.

Mr Altman’s sudden ousting by the OpenAI board on Friday is known to have sparked a mass exodus of workers.

Mr Altman was on the OpenAI places of work for talks on Sunday, tweeting an image of himself carrying a visitor lanyard and workplace move captioned: “First and last time I ever wear one of these.”
