Paraguay Is Open to China Investment, Finance Minister Says

Paraguay Finance Minister Carlos Fernandez says the government would consider Chinese investment to develop its nascent green hydrogen industry. Paraguay, Taiwan’s last South American ally, has ample supplies of the key ingredients needed to produce green hydrogen. China has steadily picked off Taipei’s diplomatic allies in Latin America with Honduras switching sides this year. Fernandez also discusses the state of the economy, central bank policy and the possibility to sell four- or five-year global bonds as he speaks with Shery Ahn and Haidi Stroud-Watts on "Bloomberg Daybreak: Australia."
