Israel and the Islamist militant group Hamas seem like on the verge of an settlement to launch a few of the hostages being held in Gaza. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu summoned his struggle Cabinet to deal with what he referred to as "developments in the matter of the release of our hostages."
