Israel and Hamas Near Hostage Deal in Gaza

Israel and Hamas on Tuesday have been on the cusp of a deal for the militant group to swap dozens of Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners and a partial pause in combating, in what could be the primary main diplomatic achievement for the reason that warfare started on Oct. 7.

The deal entails 50 Israeli hostages held by militants in Gaza being launched in alternate for some 150 Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails, in line with officers aware of the negotiations. The alternate entails solely ladies and kids on each side.
