Ex-GOP Lawmaker Blows The Whistle On Trump’s ‘Very Vile’ Plan To Beat Kamala Harris

Former Rep. David Jolly (R-Fla.) is sounding the alarm on what he thinks Donald Trump’s strategy will be against Vice President Kamala Harris with less than two months until the election.

“He knows he has nothing to gain” at Tuesday night’s debate, Jolly said on MSNBC over the weekend. “Donald Trump is going to finish this race at 46 or 47 percent.”

Trump won 46.1% of the vote in his successful 2016 campaign, and 46.8% in his losing bid in 2020.

Given that reality, Jolly predicted the former president’s next move.

“There’s nothing left for Donald Trump to do in the last 60 days except try to attack Vice President Harris in very vile ways,” he said.

Jolly also had some advice for Harris ahead of Tuesday night’s debate.

“Be prepared for a conversation with the moderators and almost ignore Donald Trump,” he said. “He’s a convicted criminal who’s a liar, who’s boorish, racist and xenophobic, and who’s word you can’t trust or take seriously.”

If she’s able to deliver on policy and defend herself when the moderators push back while largely ignoring Trump, the former president “will look like the extra on the set, irrelevant to the night’s conversation.”
