EU lawmakers agree to ban Russian gas imports by 2027

The EU is trying to end all energy dependency on Moscow and to stop financing its war against Ukraine. Landlocked countries will be protected by a suspension clause in case of an emergency. Still, Hungary and Slovakia may challenge the law.
