Zelenskyy lashes out at West as Russia bombards Kharkiv | DW News

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskys has warned that Russia’s latest push in Ukraine’s northeast could be the ‘first wave’ of a wider offensive.
He has been visiting the region of Kharkiv, which sits on the border with Russia and has faced intense bombardment by Russian troops in recent weeks. Ukraine’s new conscription law comes into effect today, lowering the age of conscription from 27 to 25 in a bid to boost manpower.
Exhausted troops on the frontlines are hoping for a break, and for more weapons to hold Russia back.
