Why is the IOC bringing Russia again to the Olympics now? | DW News

The International Olympic Committee has taken a major step towards bringing Russia back into the Olympic movement. The IOC has provisionally lifted the suspension of the Russian Olympic Committee as qualification begins for the 2028 Los Angeles Games. Russian athletes are moving closer to a return to international competition, while a decision on whether they could compete under the Russian flag and anthem has yet to be made.
