‘Dancing With the Stars’ alum Hayley Erbert, who gave birth to her first baby with Derek Hough in December, explained why she is having competing emotions as their daughter Everley grows up. "Motherhood is even more complex and contradicting than I could have ever imagined,” Hayley wrote on Instagram April 10. “It feels like living in two places at once. Where joy and heartache can both be true, all of the time.” She added, “My heart is constantly bursting open, while also breaking into a million pieces.” Hayley—who tied the knot with Derek in 2023—also addressed Everley directly and emphasized that she is cherishing “every little bit” of her growth, while “quietly grieving the version of you that existed just moments before.” The 31-year-old continued, “It’s the most beautiful contradiction.
