The Trump administration has banned former European Union Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton and four anti-disinformation campaigners from entering the US. As Internal Market Commissioner, Breton helped formulate the EU’s Digital Services Act, which Washington says unfairly targets US tech giants. The European Commission says it "strongly condemns" the decision. Writing on social media, Breton also rejected the accusation behind the entry ban, suggesting the US is engaged in what he called a "witch hunt".
