The US minimized the prospect for immediate talks with Iran as the two sides exchanged strikes and Houthi militants in Yemen threatened shipping in the Red Sea. Central Command said on Tuesday it had concluded an 11th consecutive evening of strikes on Iran aimed to degrade the Islamic republic’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
