This was supposed to be a partnership – but it’s now turning into an open political feud between US President Donald Trump and Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Once seen as close allies, the two are now exchanging direct and increasingly personal attacks in public. Trump is questioning her decisions and even her standing at home – and Meloni is pushing back, calling his ‘constant, unprovoked attacks’ simply ‘senseless.’
