Almost 70% of Europeans believe corruption is widespread in their country. Today, the European Parliament took action.
By approving new anti-corruption rules, the EU is setting clearer definitions, tougher penalties, stronger enforcement, and EU-wide monitoring.
EU countries will have two years to reflect these rules in their national laws.
