As Today’s Savannah Guthrie remains on hiatus from the morning show to host NBC’s upcoming Wordle-inspired game show, she spent some quality time with Hoda Kotb. Kotb captioned a photo of herself with Guthrie on Instagram Aug. 6, "My favorite place, next to you." While announcing her role in the upcoming adaptation of the popular New York Times game, she also emphasized her gratitude to the series for putting production on pause as her mom remains missing. Guthrie explained on Today’s May 11 episode, “When everything happened with me and my family, they just stopped everything and said, ‘We’ll wait for you.’ And Hollywood is like a really tough business, and I didn’t expect that. And I just want to say thank you, it means so much to me.”
