Ryan Lochte clapped back at folks who say his latest transformation left him “unrecognizable.” The Olympic swimmer recently sparked online chatter after debuting a darker hairstyle while announcing his new role as a swim coach for Missouri State University. In a May 14 Instagram video, his girlfriend Molly Gilliham revealed her phone was “blowing up” with messages from people claiming they barely recognized the athlete. Ryan, however, wasn’t bothered by the comparisons, pointing out that many were measuring his current look against photos from his 2012 Olympics era.
