Kyiv came under one of the war’s longest aerial assaults, with Russian missiles and drones pounding the Ukrainian capital for 11 hours. At least 18 people were killed and dozens injured as residents took shelter and damage was reported across the city. Russia says the strike was retaliation for attacks on its infrastructure.
