Rosie O’Donnell remembered her late Harriet the Spy co-star Michelle Trachtenberg’s life and legacy, while sharing heartbreaking insight into why she believed the actress was in “pretty bad shape” during her final years. In a new interview with Variety, Rosie reflected on her friendship with the Gossip Girl alum, calling Michelle a “real genius child” who could “memorize anything” and improvise with ease. Rosie also recalled missed meet-ups with Michelle in the years before her death, saying, “She was not in good shape.” Michelle died in February 2025 from complications of diabetes mellitus. She was 39 years old.
