In Lebanon, Pope Leo has now begun the second leg of first overseas visit as pontiff.

The pope is expected to appeal for peace in the region as the focus of his visit. Lebanon is still being hit by Israeli airstrikes, despite a ceasefire. Lebanon is a Muslim-majority country, but around a third of the population are Christians. Crowds gathered to welcome the Pope hours before his plane touched down.
