Blaise Taylor, a former college football athlete who worked as an NFL scout for the Tennessee Titans, was convicted of four felony murder charges in the case of his pregnant girlfriend Jade Benning’s death, according to court documents viewed by E! News. A Nashville jury arrived at their unanimous verdicts in just under three hours, determining that Taylor was guilty of one count of second-degree murder of Benning, one count of first-degree murder for the unborn child, one count of first-degree felony murder of Benning and one count of first-degree felony murder of the unborn child. Taylor—who allegedly drugged Benning’s lemonade with a lethal dose of cocaine in 2023—has maintained his innocence since his 2024 arrest. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for Sept. 9, when the court will determine if he will serve his sentences consecutively or concurrently, according to local news outlet WKRN.
