Iran’s naval forces have put on a show of force in the Gulf region as negotiators ended a round of indirect talks with the US over Tehran’s nuclear program. Iran insists it will never abandon the entirety of its nuclear program.
The US and Iran have held second round of indirect nuclear talks in the Swiss city of Geneva. The talks were mediated by Oman and "concluded with good progress towards identifying common goals and relevant technical issues," according to the Foreign Minister of Oman.
Washington is pushing Tehran to curb its nuclear program, while Iran demands sanctions relief. Ordinary Iranians meanwhile fear war, while activists are afraid the US could be making a deal with their country’s theocratic leadership, strengthening the regime.
