Meet the director behind the award-winning movie “ANIMAL”

ANIMAL is a Greek, Austrian, Romanian, Cypriot and Bulgarian co-production which has taken home 25 awards so far.

It follows the story of a group of entertainers at an all-inclusive island resort as they prepare for the busy holiday season. Kalia is the leader of the pack, returning for her ninth year. But as the days go by under the hot Greek sun, the nights also grow wilder, leading Kalia’s struggle to be revealed in the darkness.

The film is up for this year’s LUX Audience Award, a prize awarded every year by the European Parliament and the European Film Academy that highlights their commitment to culture and education, by providing support to European cinema and promoting cultural diversity.
