Mass crowds collect in Tehran as six-day funeral for killed supreme chief begins | DW News

Millions of Iranians, as well as officials from dozens of countries, are taking part in funeral events for former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Days of public mourning began with huge crowds in Tehran. The hardline cleric was killed by an Israeli air strike on the first day of the US-Israeli war against Iran in February. Many mourners called for revenge against the US and Israel.
