Kid Rock has responded to the lip-syncing allegations. After online users began to speculate that the “All Summer Long” singer was mouthing his lyrics at Turning Point USA’s All American Halftime Show—which was at the same time as the Bad Bunny performance during the 2026 Super Bowl—he claimed that his words didn’t match up with the music because of a production error. “My halftime performance was pre recorded but performed live,” Kid Rock captioned a Feb. 10 video posted to X. “No lipsyncing like the haters and fake news are trying to report. When they synced the cameras to my performance on Bawitdaba, it did not line up as I explain in this video.” In the clip, the 55-year-old (born Robert James Ritchie) was joined by his accompanying DJ Freddie "Paradime" Beauregard to clear his name, specifically when it came to accusations that he lip synced his 1999 song “Bawitdaba.” Kid Rock said in the video, “First thing is, if I was ever going to lip sync, which I wouldn’t, that would be the last song I would ever have to bring in the fold to do it to. We’ve performed this song every night on tour since 1998, since the day it was released.” As for why the broadcast showed Kid Rock rapping his lyrics out of time with the track? Well, he claimed that production was ill-prepared to keep up with the tune. “It was very difficult for them because someone clearly wasn’t super familiar with the song,” he explained, later adding, “Now it’s extremely difficult for them to line up the sync. Could it have been done if we had more time? I’m confident they could’ve gotten it right.” Full Story: https://www.eonline.com/news/1428426/kid-rock-on-turning-point-halftime-show-lip-sync-allegations
