Live With Kelly & Mark host Kelly Ripa revealed the unconventional meal she and husband Mark Consuelos ate with their son Joaquin Consuelos for Mother’s Day: a Big Mac and Quarter Pounder from McDonald’s. The daytime talk show host– also mom to Michael, 28, and Lola, 24 with Mark–said she had “a great time” eating McDonald’s on her special day instead of cooking, thanks to her youngest Joaquin, 23, who is currently starring in Death of a Salesman. “Our youngest texted me from backstage—he’s on Broadway—it’s the funniest text I got,” Kelly explained on the May 11 episode of Live With Kelly & Mark. “He goes, ‘I thought it’d be fun if we had McDonald’s for your birthday.’ And I said, ‘Uhh, it’s not my birthday.’ And he goes, ‘I mean Mother’s Day, you know what I mean!’” “So, we had McDonald’s,” the 55-year-old continued with a big smile. “I had a Big Mac and large fries!” And while Kelly—who famously eats two salads a day—noted the fast food meal was “so unlike us” and “hasn’t happened in years and years,” she emphasized, “It was delicious.
