Longtime Survivor host Jeff Probst shared how he felt after accidentally spoiling part of the show’s May 20 season 50 finale, namely Rizo Velovic’s elimination before it aired. “What’s happening when you’re doing a Survivor finale is two things,” Jeff began on CBS Mornings May 21. “You’re running the show—the episode. And then we’re doing these live hits where I come out and I talk to one of the players.” As such, he admitted, “I’m not watching the show.” In fact, it wasn’t until he heard the 1,200-person audience—plus the already-introduced jury members—collectively gasp about the spoiler that he even realized something was wrong. And even now, he’s still not quite sure how the gaffe happened. “We have a big team, mistakes happen, but we just got ahead of ourselves. None of us saw it,” Jeff said. “Rizo even told me later, he goes, ‘I was standing next to you, going, “I don’t know why he’s going to send me over to the jury, I haven’t even lost yet.”’ So—live TV!” Aubry Bracco ended up taking home the win and the $2 million prize. And the 39-year-old already has plans for her $2 million prize. “I have a 2-and-a-half-year-old,” Aubry told E!
