A new report claims the character of the war is shifting in favour of Ukraine, and that its partners should lean into this moment of potential advantage to force Russian President Vladimir Putin to reevaluate his position. DW’s Ben Fajzullin speaks to co-author of the report George Barros from the Institute for the Study of War. A senior Ukrainian military commander also says Russia’s military is becoming exhausted and that the next six months will be critical for Ukraine to improve frontline positions, intensify drone warfare and enter future negotiations with Moscow from a position of strength. Ben also speaks to Robert B. Murrett, a former Vice Admiral in the U.S. Navy and Deputy Director of the Institute for Security Policy and Law at Syracuse University about the prospects for both sides.
