Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is at the White House for talks with Donald Trump. Iran’s nuclear program, regional security, and the risk of escalation are all high on the agenda.
The visit comes as the Iranian regime marks the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. This year’s widely televised celebrations are taking place amid the biggest challenge to the regime’s authority since it took power. Demonstrations about the cost of living in late December grew into nationwide anti-government protests, which the government violently suppressed, killing thousands of people.
