Drug trafficking remains one of the EU’s biggest security threats, fuelling organised crime, violence, and harm to communities across Europe.
Parliament discusses the European Commission’s latest measures to combat organised drug trafficking, including stronger maritime surveillance, enhanced intelligence-sharing, closer cooperation between customs, police and border authorities, and more effective cross-border operations.
The debate also highlights the importance of protecting Europe’s ports and waters, supporting law enforcement officers, and strengthening international cooperation to dismantle the criminal networks that exploit global supply chains and digital platforms.
