After Hilary Duff fans speculated “We Don’t Talk” is about her allegedly strained relationship with sister Haylie Duff, she admitted it’s about “the most lonely part” of her life. The ‘Lizzie McGuire’ star acknowledged the fanfare surrounding the yet-to-be-officially-released track doesn’t surprise her. “I was prepared, a little bit,” Hilary admitted in an interview with ‘Rolling Stone’ published Feb. 19. “I made a choice to put that song on my record. That’s definitely the most lonely part of my life, and I struggled with, ‘Am I going to share this?’” Ultimately, she decided that if people already thought they knew her story, she might as well tell it herself. “People have known my life since I was a child, and so they know all the characters in it and they know what I’m talking about,” she continued. “For me, it was important to be open about that theme.
