Foreign Ministers from Denmark and Greenland have met with US Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the White House. Denmark’s Larks Lökke Rasmussen and Greenland’s Vivian Motzfeldt traveled to DC to discuss their concerns about the US interest in acquiring or seizing Greenland. The Trump administration has insisted taking control of the Danish territory is necessary for US national security. Both Greenland and Denmark say the island is not for sale.
