Gypsy Rose Blanchard recalled the night her mom Dee Dee Blanchard was killed, saying that her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn said, "I am death," before fatally stabbing the matriarch. "I heard screaming," Blanchard recalled on the June 9 episode of the We Need to Talk podcast. "It was a horrible sound." Blanchard—who was allegedly subjected to years of abuse by Dee Dee—served more than eight years in prison after pleading guilty to her role in the crime and was released in 2023.
