Fishermen left stranded by surging gasoline costs in Indonesia | DW News

Hundreds of fishermen in an Indonesian coastal town on the island of Java have been forced to stop going out to sea because of rising diesel prices. Many now fear fish production will be disrupted, and they could be left with no work. State-owned gas and oil company Pertamina has said the price increase was necessary due to geopolitical conditions, referring to the Iran war. #dwnews
