Bournemouth will look to oust tournament experts Manchester City from the FA Cup as the two sides meet in an all-Premier League quarter-final.
The Cherries have mounted an unexpected push for Europe this season and will be desperate to see their good form under Andoni Iraola translate into silverware.
But against Pep Guardiola’s serial-winning Man City, they face an almighty challenge as the Citizens look to keep alive their only remaining hope for a trophy.
That said, Bournemouth already have the blueprint on how to beat City at the Vitality this term, with goals from Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson propelling the Cherries to a 2-1 win over Sunday’s visitors back in November – a win that ended City’s 32-game unbeaten run in the top flight.
The winner of the tie will play Nottingham Forest at Wembley, with Aston Villa and Crystal Palace facing off in the other semi-final. Follow all the action and updates from the Vitality Stadium with our live blog below:

FA Cup semi-final draw

Both ties will take place over the weekend of 26 and 27 April.
Match facts
This is just Bournemouth’s third appearance in the FA Cup quarter-finals, losing 2-1 against Manchester United in 1956/57 and 3-0 against Southampton in 2020/21.
City have won their last seven FA Cup quarter-final ties, with these coming in the last eight campaigns (exception being 2017/18). Their run of reaching the semi-final in six consecutive campaigns is already a record in the competition.
Head-to-head
These sides have met a total of 22 times in the past, with City winning 19, the Cherries winning one and two ending as draws.
This season brought Bournemouth’s first win in this fixtures as they beat City 2-1 at the Vitality in November.
Other than that, the last time the Cherries avoided defeat to City was in 1999, when they played out a 0-0 draw in League 2.

Pep Guardiola believes Bournemouth defeat was the start of Man City’s troubles
Pep Guardiola hopes his Manchester City side can erase the memory of one of their season’s lowpoints by making FA Cup history this weekend.
City are bidding to reach the semi-finals of the competition for a record-extending seventh consecutive season as they travel to Bournemouth in the last eight on Sunday.
Their last visit to the Vitality Stadium was one to forget as they slumped to their first Premier League defeat of the campaign in November.
Team news
Bournemouth make three changes and crucially are missing two key players through suspension: 19-year-old Dean Huijsen, who has just won his first two caps for Spain, and star left-back Milos Kerkez. Julio Soler and Marcos Senesi come in, the latter playing his first game since an injury in November, and David Brooks replaces Marcus Tavernier.
Pep Guardiola rings the changes for City and brings in some big guns: Lewis, Nico, Savinho, Marmoush and Doku drop out from their last match before the international break, a 2-2 draw with Brighton, with Nunes, Kovacic, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Foden coming into the starting XI.
Ortega also loses his place between the sticks to Ederson.
