An Israeli airstrike collapsed an apartment building in central Beirut just after sunrise. No casualties were reported in the immediate aftermath. The Israeli military warned residents to evacuate the area and says it was targeting Hezbollah facilities.
The attack on Beirut’s Bachoura neighbourhood is outside the areas traditionally controlled by Hezbollah. It was part of a wave of strikes that hit Beirut early Wednesday morning that killed several people.
