At least four people were injured in a shooting at a Dallas high school Tuesday afternoon that prompted a massive law enforcement presence.
Just after 1 p.m. CT, police received a call at Wilmer-Hutchins High School after gunshots were fired inside the school, according to Fox 4.
At least four people, including a 17-year-old student, were injured in the shooting, Dallas Fire Department officials told CBS News. Two of the victims are believed to have sustained gunshot wounds that are considered non-life-threatening.
All four victims were taken to the hospital.
Law enforcement officials told CBS News Texas that they believe the perpetrator was a student. No information about the shooter’s identity has been released.

The Independent has asked the Dallas Independent School District for comment.
Police did not immediately confirm the details of the incident or the injuries.
The Dallas Independent School District said at 1:25 p.m. police were responding to a shooting at the high school and safety protocols were implemented.
By 2:12 p.m., they declared the school was secure and set up a reunification center for parents to meet their students.
“We understand this is a difficult time and ask for your patience. Counselors are on site and available,” Dallas Independent School District wrote.
Images from helicopters showed a significant police presence at the school. Students could be seen evacuating from the building.
Adonta Jackson, a senior at the high school, told The Dallas Morning News he heard approximately eight gunshots followed by screaming. He said students began running out of the school.
The shooting arrives almost exactly one year after another student was shot in the leg while in a classroom. That incident spurred an investigation into how a student was able to bring a gun into the school. District officials later found that one of the metal detectors was broken.
Approximately 1,020 students attend Wilmer-Hutchins High School, according the U.S. News and World Report.
