The ongoing housing crisis in the EU in recent years has highlighted the urgent need for a unified, evidence-based approach to affordable housing policy across the EU.
The issue is being addressed by Parliament’s special committee on housing crisis, together with the committee on employment and social affairs in a joint public hearing.
The hearing focuses on the link between demographic change and the housing crisis and on potential policy solutions to address these challenges. It also offers an opportunity for stakeholders to share their experiences and perspectives and to inform the committees’ recommendations for addressing the housing crisis in the EU.
