Google parent Alphabet is raising $80 billion through a package of equity offerings in one of the largest equity deals of all time, as it races to fund its ambitious artificial intelligence spending plans.
Anthropic has pipped OpenAI to the post, filing confidentially for an IPO. The move comes days after Anthropic’s valuation eclipsed that of OpenAI for the first time.
And US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have offered differing accounts of their phone call to discuss the fighting in Lebanon. They spoke after Iran suspended peace talks with the US because of the ongoing clashes. President Trump says he’s still optimistic that an interim deal can be done.
